Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, and an interest in the automotive industry.

About the Role

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for the safe and efficient management of vehicle parts and products sold through the company’s online store.

The role includes assessing, pricing, photographing, listing, storing and dispatching parts, while maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

The following reflects typical duties and is not intended to be a comprehensive description of all tasks:

  • Evaluate, price and prepare vehicle parts for sale.
  • Photograph and upload parts to eBay and other online platforms.
  • Print tags and ensure parts are correctly labelled and stored.
  • Locate, pick, quality check, pack and dispatch sold parts.
  • Use a forklift to move larger items such as engines and gearboxes, where trained.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.
  • Identify and dispose of damaged or unsuitable parts in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock and sales records.
  • Complete the required daily listing target of approximately 75 parts.
  • Assist with stock checks and resolve discrepancies.
  • Follow all company, Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
  • Report any issues with stock, equipment or the warehouse promptly
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Store Supervisor.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, retail or similar environment.
  • Experience handling, storing or preparing goods for dispatch.
  • Experience following procedures and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience working with automotive parts.
  • Experience using eBay or other online selling platforms.
  • Forklift or stock control experience.
  • Forklift licence or experience.
  • Experience using eBay or similar online platforms.
  • Knowledge of vehicle parts and components.
  • Experience using stock control systems.
