Parts Sales Advisor

About the Role
The Parts Advisor is responsible for managing the supply, sale, and distribution of vehicle parts and accessories. They ensure that customers—both internal and external—receive accurate information, timely service, and the correct parts, while supporting the smooth operation of the workshop and overall business.
This role requires maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

- Handle telephone, scrap line and counter sales.
- Deal with customer enquiries by phone, email and social media.
- Identify and supply the correct vehicle parts and accessories.
- Maintain and restock parts inventory.
- Receive, check, store and issue parts.
- Process sales, orders and customer information accurately.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding parts, prices and availability.
- Support the workshop by ensuring parts are available when needed.
- Keep stock records accurate and up to date.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised parts area.
- Follow company, health and safety and legislative requirements.
- Provide a professional and helpful service to all customers.
- Carry out general administration and other reasonable duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a parts, retail, automotive, vehicle dismantling, sales or customer service environment.
- Experience dealing directly with customers.
- Experience handling customer enquiries and processing orders or sales.
- Experience dealing with both trade and retail customers.
- Previous experience in a vehicle parts or automotive sales environment.
- Experience working with suppliers or parts distributors
- Experience using parts identification systems.
- Experience using dealership, stock management or inventory software.
- Knowledge of vehicle makes, models and common vehicle components.
- Experience using online parts databases.
- Experience using e-commerce platforms or social media for customer enquiries and sales
