  • Follow company Health & Safety and environmental procedures, including the safe handling of vehicle parts, fluids, and materials.
  • Work efficiently to meet productivity targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Accurately identify parts and assist with updating stock and inventory information.
  • Work closely with yard, warehouse, and inventory teams to ensure an efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a mechanic or in a similar automotive role is required.
  • Previous experience in vehicle dismantling, automotive mechanics, salvage, recycling, or a workshop environment is highly desirable.
  • Good practical knowledge of vehicle components and mechanical systems.
  • Confident using hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Good attention to detail, particularly when identifying and labelling vehicle parts.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer or handheld device skills for updating stock and part information would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable carrying out physical work, including lifting and bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • An automotive, mechanical, or engineering qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
